Dead as in "won't start" dead? Or dead as in "the mechanic performed last rites" dead?

Hit it with a stick. Even it it doesn't fix it (and I'm a big believer in Percussive Maintenance), it'll make you feel better!
I hope it's something easy and cheap! Hm. On reflection, I hope that about most things. :-p
*hugs*

Tim says that autotrader.com is not particularly helpful in the under $2000.00 range. Do you have any other sources?

not much is good at that low of a price range. Checking with local used car dealers helps. Also you might check craigslist.com which is an online classified ads service.
