I wrote this while at work this morning. A bit of a slow morning. I have been toying with the theme for a while and I think this is the best one so far. I may refine it later.

She draws me to the sea.

She draws me to the sea,
the tide takes her from me
the tide brings her in
The rise puts her in my arms
The fall draws her away
Through waves I steer
Catching the wind in my sails
for her shores call to me
and when in her harbor
my joyous burden is released
When the time calls again though
And my ship must be loosed again
with sails unfurled
and together once more
she draws me to the sea.

I am glad you like it. It has always been hard for me to share my poetry even when I was writing it all the time back in college and high school.

I like it. I think it's about sex, but that's not why I like it.

Hoping all of you have a very Happy New Year. I won't bother trying to call you at midnight, now that I know you aren't home. What happened with the poor puppy?

Excellent! You should share more of your poetry.
