I have tried to talk to him about it a couple of times. He either lies to me which angers me. Or he tries to make me feel guilty for "bringing him down". Apparently a comment suggesting he is not trying very hard to a get a job is needlessly negative and ruins his mood and makes it so he doesn't want to try. Sigh.... such is the trials and tribulations of being friends.
