The Riaa has been having one of it's pet senators for over a year now trying to put through legislation that would allow them to counter-hack file sharing networks. Guns are in fact so common in our society that many places have metal detectors at the door as just part of daily buisness. There are commando's showing up to airports regularly. Corperate security recruits heavily from former special forces and intelligence operatives for over a decade now and one of the growth industries is computer security. They have been making head way for years with implanting equipment to help see or hear and plans are out there to make cellphones that are implantable. Can computers be far behind? The government has the right now to scan your email without a warrant as well as listen to your phone conversations so long as you may be a terrorist. I may be a terrorist. Corperations no what you buy, where you buy it, how much you pay in bills, how much you make, where you live, how many kids you have, your criminal record, and your projected income. Whats more I can know those things too if I pay enough.

I am a waiting. I am watching. Chummers our time is coming. The time of cyberpunk being the reality is fast approaching. Get your computers decked out. Get your alternate id's hooked up. Watch your 6 and get your mirrorshades. When the future comes, no ever notices.

It is not if you are paranoid, it is if you are paranoid enough.
