On July 10, 1925 in dayton Tennessee the Monkey Trial begins with Jone Thomas Scopes, a high school science teacher, accused of teaching evolution in violation of a Tennessee state law. The law made it a misdemeanor punishable by a fine to "teach any theory that denies the story of the Divine Creation of man as taught in the Bible, and to teach instead that man has descended from a lower of animals." Scopes conspired with George Rappalyea to get charged with this violation. After his arrest they enlisted the aid of the ACLU to organize the defence

Well the weekend was different than planned. After KG was cancelled due to weather it freed up almost everyone in my gaming group for me to run Dawning Star. The game went well and I ran the published adventure for it out of the main book. It is an odd dynamic with the group where the gun bunny(hapersmionis the moral compass and the doctor(Guy) is the one who is most likely to randomly shoot the unarmed tied up bandito. Oh well it was fun and I look forward to more.

Cam was fun. I like playing Jackson. He can be a bit of smart ass but he doesn't get involved in the politics. He is a ghoul after all. He is the go to guy for Isabella(stagefreaky)sort of a cross between Sam Spade and Alfred Pennyworth. I think I can enjoy playing him.

I have vacation time set asside for the end of the month and I intend to come to atlanta to actually hang with folks some away from the game. I haven't just hung out with some of these people in a while.

I woke up on Friday and spewed my corn flakes all over the wall when I read about the Mann Report, commissioned by BushCo. apparichik Kenneth Tomlinson to determine if PBS is too liberal and therefore in need of dismantling by the GOP, wherein Henry Rollins is described as a "conservative."

After cleaning the corn flakes off said wall, I emailed Henry and asked him if he'd like to respond:
Jane. I don't know if I could be called a conservative seeing how I will get up extra early to tell anyone in front of me THAT BUSH IS A COWARD AND A LIAR AND THOSE WHO VOTED FOR HIM ARE PART OF A VERY BAD PROBLEM. THAT THE FOX NEWS CHANNEL IS A BUNCH OF SISSIES WHO CAN'T TAKE A PUNCH....If Bush's idiotic television monitors are making reference to my 70 second appearance on Fox News talking about the USO, I did that because the USO asked me to and since I do a lot of work on their behalf because I support our troops, I did.
You know they really should give you advance warning when they're gonna say something that stupid. What a howler.
