There are those who have on occassion treated knoxville as a cultural wasteland (you know who you are.) It is not and it has a thriving arts and music scene but I thought I would share this list. I tis a list of folks from knoxville or who spent a significant time here.

Knoxville is indeed a cultural wasteland, and throwing in names of sports figures doesn't help your case. Face it, we live in the armpit of Tennessee.
