"Add a comment to this journal telling me what you remember about first meeting me (online most certainly counts; if you have a choice between online and in person, I'll request the most amusing :-) I'll respond to each comment with my memories of you.

And, of course, if you like it, try it in your own journal."

I remember your laugh. I think you were behind me in the tavern, so at first I didn't have a face with the sound.

My memory

I don't have a clear immage, but I remember you in the LARP being with Illmar Kiltressen and me sizing you up as yet another opponent. I seem to recall that I took you as far more serious a threat than Illmar or Marcus Shadoweye

From: [identity profile] hopelesslyraie.livejournal.com

Online, unfortunately.

You posted on one of my entries, as I yelled "JOHNNY DEPP IS A WALKING ORGASM,"

... and you called me a "very strange girl" or something of the sort. ^^)

From: [identity profile] butterinthesun.livejournal.com

my first recollection of Reginald was at the one day auction for KG. He seemed to be able to disect my character and he scared the pee out of her.... He was the only character that really seemed to care about her level of stand-off-ishness and seemed to push her to find out why.... it was really disconcerting for her. But, damn, did it push me to RP better.

I remember you as the quiet girl I saw with either bren or the town guard most of the time. I think the first time I really noticed you, you were stitching me up.

Re: My memory

I was actually originally brought in as a social librarian. They aknowledged that they were a little to harsh and they wanted someone more socially adept.

From: [identity profile] technoir.livejournal.com

I first met you on Carnivorax's page actually. I am just a flirt online though. I am less so in person.

Re: My memory

My concern with the librarians was never that they could beat me up in a fight. A 12 year old with a stick could do that during the first 4 years.

My concern was with ideology.

From: [identity profile] technoir.livejournal.com

I remember seeing you walking with the gondals and being told you were a firebonder. I thought at the time, well the gondals need trouble makers too.

Re: My memory

Ah yes the ideology was always the issue. The librarians and the Cornelians were actually very similar in ideology in a lot of ways, except possibly the library was more forceful. They both wanted to get info and perserve it and protect it. The difference was in the arguements who deserved to protect the info I guess.

Long lost arguement I guess. Saul is the last librarian who will admit to it in public and well there is no one to argue with any more.

How do I remember you?

Whether it be from NERO or real life, I don't remember; however, I do remember how witty you were and how knowledgeable you were on everything we talked about.

Re: How do I remember you?

Actually I think it may have been the one time you showed up to SI. I do rember seeing you and thinking you looked like some 1950's model. I was somewhat disappointed to find out shortly there after you were with James. Lucky him.

grin.

You were so unlike the Americans I had met before. What amazed me most, was the fact that you were a roleplaying fan. I'd sincerely thought there were none in the West. :)

From: [identity profile] technoir.livejournal.com

I remember suddenly seeing post's from some I had never heard of out of no where. It actually had alot to do with why i kept up with the journal. I was meeting people on different continents after all it couldn't be that bad.

But no there is a strong roleplaying community here. I am glad to find that is also strong in russia and other places.

I remember first meeting you at Other Worlds. Charley Tolly introduced us. I thought you were one of the smartest people I had ever met, and I also remember acting like an ass as I was want to do in those days.

PS I'm sorry I couldn't get you Chicken Bisket last month. I will keep trying to get it to you.

From: [identity profile] technoir.livejournal.com

I vaguely remember that. I dont remember what you said, but it irritated me greatly cause it seemed you were smarter than that and were just doing something for attention. One of my pet peeves. Glad you got past most of that.

yes...I miss my chicken biscuit.

First time that I met you, I had Dave come up to me and say as Balkin, "Hey, you!" (playing for about 4 or 5 years at this point) "You know that gravedigger guy?" - "Not personally, why?" - "I think his name is Mortimer, let him know I'm looking for him".

Four years and one of my favorite characters in the game called me 'Hey You'.

When I met you, I was a ball of Jealousy. :p

Things got better though.

The first time I remember actually talking to you, was relizing you were fighting one of the hunters and handing you my shovel to hit it cause I thought you would hoit harder than me.

From: [identity profile] digital-avatar.livejournal.com

I remember that, because I slapped that hunter in the face with the shovel... what? 3 times?

From: [identity profile] mayorshaggy.livejournal.com

I think for me it would have to be at my second SI event...Werewolf hunting, running through the woods looking for the blasted things. I recall being impressed when we found them.

I also recall hearing the classic Bastard sword Librarian jokes from Contra and Jarion and connecting Brother Saul with that crew from his posts on the web.

From: [identity profile] technoir.livejournal.com

My first memories of you actually was noticing contra and Jarion had someone running with them. I remember being impressed you had chosen to do the thrown weapon thing.

From: [identity profile] mayorshaggy.livejournal.com

That must have been before I realised that walking around with 90-or-so throwing daggers wasn't nearly as useful as walking around with a couple visible ones and the rest hidden.

Alas.

From: [identity profile] digital-avatar.livejournal.com

Yeah... I was so aiming at his foot. I swear.

It's okay, later that event, I triple shot him in the back, and he turned his face on it all three times.

I didn't have a good experience in the 'getting frog to like you' program.

From: [identity profile] technoir.livejournal.com

well you were not the only one to have that experience with frog. His head is a boffer magnet I swear. I can remember getting 3 head shots from him in succession at an si field battle.

From: [identity profile] digital-avatar.livejournal.com

we should so buy him a helmet.

He's gotten better though.

First Meeting

Hmm...I think the first time that I met you was probably you pummelling me to death with a boffer when I was playing an NPC at SI. :-)

Re: First Meeting

funny how our hobby actually can have a pummeling and not have it be bad thing.

I remember seeing you as a monster, but I also remember you when you started hanging with the irregulars. I remember thinking at the time that milamber doesent end up with anything other than the most pleasent easy going people.
