So I wrapped up the major Eberron story line this last weekend. The heroes foiled The Lord of Blades plans to become a god though not in the manner I expected. The villain got away and in the end no one died. At the end though a couple of people had expressed an interest in retiring their characters and making new ones. I would be sad to see the characters go but I can understand wanting to try out new ideas. Nothing firm has been said one way or another as of yet though.

Where I am at this point is I have dropped about a dozen little hooks to take the can take the game in different directions. The question I have is what direction would people like to go in? They certainly have enough loose ends that could lead to dungeon crawls if people would like. There is some thick political stuff left to do. There is a threat of another war looming. The pc’s have plenty of threats still in Sharn or they could go back to the Mournlands or Xendric or maybe go someplace completely new. Maybe it might be fun to have the next story line have nothing to do with the previous ones except in the loosest sense. If you’re a player tell me what you think. If your not playing give me what suggestions you have. Personally I like having a balance of politics and action, but I am not the player. Maybe I could step back and let Reese run a game for a while or we could switch out every so often. Oh well suggestions welcome.

I'd like to hold off on your game until hapersmion's little brother gets back in town.

I'm probably going to stick with the same character for now. I don't really have the concept for a character that would fit into the party and into the campaign as it stands.

As far as direction - I have a long term goal for the group. After we finish the Lord of Blades, deal with this. Insert some level grinding in Xendrik as needed.

Hmm. They do have a module that could be adapted that deals with her. I have been thinking of picking it up.

As to the brother coming back, him not being here is kind of why I pulled him out at the last minute. I figured if we are going to run in the future then I think it is a pain to make someone else try and run his character. Especially concidering the sheet is illegible.

Personally I wouldn't mind stepping back a bit and being a player again. I miss being a player and I would love to see what Reese had in mind as he is a kick ass game runner. So are you for that matter.

I would like to step away from the current campaign for a while myself, so Reese running a game would be nice. Metal Glow's going to stay around, but I'd like to retrain him for pure artificer and swap out some substitution levels. I'd also like some time to craft stuff...

I'd love to try out a new character concept though...

Retraining whole levels will require a quest. If your want to change minor things though something elese could be arranged.

Switching out a substitution level for one in the same class (example: going warforged fighter to normal fighter, or the other way around) doesn't officially take a quest.

Switching a level for a different level does. Example: switching Fighter for Artificer.

yeah and that was really what I meant, on the substitution levels your just changing class features around and I would think the thing we already talked about on that would apply. The fighter level he has I think is what would require the quest to change.

After some uh, adjustments, im still happy playing my pc in this game, and im for more dnd of most any chance. I have suddently a crazy amount of goals and involvement.

Personily I think it is time for a new character concept. This one has been pushed about as far as it can go without diving into politics.

Besides, the implications of what has happend to the character...wow...are mindboggleing. Three large questions will needed to be answered before continuing:

1. What happends to someone who has lost a dragonmark? This has never happened before. Are they still in the house? Are they demonted? Do they keep their current position? Can they advance without one even though they had one before?

2. A dragonmark has been transfered. How will the houses react to this? Is the new marked a member of the house now? Or should they be treated as extordited, aberent, or worse?

3. A warforged now has a mark. How will the houses treat the warforge now that they can have dragonmarks?

Also, I'm not sure if your aware or not...Reese has expressed a desire to retire since he has the possibility of getting a +61 Diplomacy check...without rolling...

I always prefer fighting to politics, of course, but my character can always stand off to the side being uncouth. :) My current goal is going to be to go out and find a Wish or whatever to get my pet sword back. All I have to do is get someone to open an already-existing extra-dimensional space, after all. Must look up the rules and cost for Wishes when I get back home. It's a good thing I put some money in the bank, that's all I have to say... Stupid Lord of Blades.

those are all questions I would answer in the course of play. They are better handled in play. I would be sad to see your guy stop there but if you think you have something more interesting by all means.

Wishes are not something you can buy in eberron. They are quest goals. I have an idea brewing on a campaign idea involving the things people have said so far. a quest for the sword may be in order as well.
