Okay I am going to take it as a given that you did not mean to sound as rude as it sounded. The digital medium is not always the best gauge of the writers intent.
As to your comment, Rifts has been around since 1990. It is still in print. It still has a not small number of players. If this is still the same anonymous as all the other times I think it is safe to say your a dawning star fan. I am as well. And I am good friends with Lee Hammock the primary writer on the game.
Saying that, Rifts almost certainly still out sells Dawning Star. It is not a statement of quality, merely one of its place in the gaming community. You may have stopped playing it, but to say it is no longer relevant or worthy of scrutiny is not actually a reflection of the truth.
Now I don't mind keeping the LJ open for people who are not on LJ to comment, but I would ask if your going to post in the future give a name. Thank you.
