I used to watch a show called Millenium. It is in my humble opinion one of the best writen shows ever to appear on TV. This was solid uncomprimising horror. Our Hero is a man named Frank Black. In heart he is an ordinary man trying to keep the big bad terrible world from hurting his family. To do this he tackles the demons that walk amoungst us as serial killers and as the show progresses the demon he tackles is the dark future that is represented in millenial fear.

I recently downloaded some episodes of this show as you cant exacly pick it up on dvd and hardly anyone in the states shows it any more. Watching it years later and well after the millenium it is still a powerfully written dark place to visit. If you are of a mind i suggest getting a copy if you enjoy the dark side sometimes.

I actually liked that show myself. A little less silly than X Files and the main character was well acted. Which brings me to the thing I hate about the show. The main character is called Frank Black. Frank Black is the lead singer of the Pixies, and noted for his love of supernatural phenomina. A lot of his songs have to do with alien visitation and that sort of thing. I felt a little gypped that they used his name for the main character.

Actually from what I understand Chris carter the producer, used the name deliberately cause he like the pixies. That may be apocraphal though. Simply put though it is the perfect name for that charicter. It just fit him totally,

Frank...a common mans name, also to be ernest or bluntly honest.

Black...The darkest color often representing darkness in general, also used to describe mood and particularly brutal humor.

All and all I cant imagine a better name.

Never heard of it...
