There is something poetic about watching the on coming storm by remote. I picked up candles in case the power goes out, but I am thinking that is the worst we will see out of this one. The eye will pass to the east of Raliegh and the worst part of a hurricane is on the east.

Still I think I may step outside as it gets closer. I can feel the storm in my spine.

It's lovely. I've been out on my balcony watching the wind pick up in the big maple outside. The big storm won't hit until early morning. We're a good couple hundred miles inland, so we'll get a hell of a storm but we'll be safe from the worst.
