Someone changed one of my user icons today. This strikes me as kind of a dick move really. I went in and changed my password, but I am more than a little annoyed by this. Whoever you are, you have proved you can get into a public Livejournal and change things. Congrats. You also proved you have the maturity of a 12year old. Get a life.

Apparently it is an issue with LJ. Weird.

One of mine changed last week.
Apparently [livejournal.com profile] tenshihitomi had something similar happen...
I think that there's a bug somewhere. >.<

I wondered about that icon that was showing up earlier. It didn't seem very...you.

I've had the same problem... my Rommel icon was changed to some shitty "AIM"-style icon...

So...is it a hacker or a bug? Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if it were a hacker. After all, how hard can it be for someone with the technological know-how?

I guess at the end of the day what it means is that we should work on the basis that nothing on the net is private.

It is a problem with how lj databases it's user icon and multiple icons having the same name.

Ah....ok. Thanks for that. I'm fairly new to LJ so I'm still finding my way around. Being a long time member, have you noticed any major changes since you joined?

Not a lot of changes. Voice posting, photo hosting, more user icons. It does not have all the apps and fiddly bits that facebook or myspace have but that is good as far as i am concerned. I like the stripped down nature of LJ. It is simple and does what it does pretty well.
