It is a sad day today. Christopher Reeve, star of the superman films and many other films, is dead today. This man had as hard a turn in his life as is possible when he was paralyzed several years back. Instead of seccumbing to the sorrow of it he turned it into a strength and purpose and advocated stem cell research and further experimental research into correcting paralisis. He advocated Hillywood actually tackle more issues with their films. He advocated Handicaped rights. The man be came more a force for change in the world than any 3 walking men. He is dead now and the world is poorer for it. We have too few men of his passion in the world.

godspeed Mr. Reeve.

My first reaction was... after overcoming so much to finally, quietly slip away from a complication seven years later, how sad. But after some retrospection, I've changed my opinion. He turned one of the darkest events in his life into a rebirth of self and an inspiration for others.
