I did not eat the best stuff yesterday but I did keep the bad stuff low enough to not throw my calorie count off at least. On a side note I am experiencing a pretty much constant back pain. I believe dear old mom is correct when she suggests it is due to me being on my feet alot more now. I am carrying my weight differently and it is causing my back to hurt. I am still trying to find a solution to this.

Doing crunches also could be throwing it off - the muscles in your back that help with standing posture are the opposite of your ab muscles. I'd recommend getting a heating pad and using that either at work while you are sitting, or at home before going to bed.

What kind of hurting is it? Is it sharp or achy? If there is any sharpness to it at all you don't want to use heat. You want to use ice. Basically if there is any injury there you want to ice it. If its just some muscle soreness or tenderness, then heat is wonderful and might make a huge difference. Some gentle stretches can also do a lot to alleviate muscular tension in your back - stretching your hamstrings and glutes in particular.

it could be. After a while even just sitting up begins to hurt. I thought about doing some back exercises but I thought it might hurt worse. i am looking into the heating pad solution.

For the most part it is a strong ache. Though I have had it turn shar on occassion. Specifically when I was doing some upper body exercises.

If an exercise is causing you sharp pain, it's time to stop or at least modify the exercise. This is one place where 'no pain, no gain' falls short.

Call in the Sword of Knowledge, there's just no hope for those aches once they turn shar!

*snicker*

Sorry, I have nothing helpful to suggest, besides stretches. :) And make sure you're getting enough protein and vitamins, like potassium, for the muscles.

I'm in yer diet, critiquin' yer food...

Would herbed olive oil work on the popcorn for you, or too wierd? Popcorn can carry all kinds of flavors, and actaully feel a bit more like a "meal" that way, if you feel brave.

Thought about merengue cookies? They satisfy the sweet urge, but they're bereft of a lot of the bad stuff you're trying to avoid.

The popcorn was at the theater. Hard to add the oil at the theater. But good to know that. Might try that at home sometime.

Merengue Cookies are okay though they do taste weird.
