Well Our intrepid heroes had made it up the Rachi river last session to the ruins of an ancient giant temple. Their hunt of Emerald Claw has almost cost them their lives repeatedly. Tommorrow they enter the temple and hopefully they will survive.

as to the future i will be trying to run a Fantasy Hero game soon. it will be set in Avatar the last air bender. I plan on starting it as soon as the current eberron adventure ends. Then we can alternate back and forth. Least that is the plan.

The basics on my Avatar game.
150 pt hero level characters.
no more than 75 points in disads.
no more than 15 in any one disadvantage
Normal characicteristic maximum.

equipment of a standard nature costs no points.

i will have more details later.

Ah, the HERO System. Frightening away people who think Fractions are kinda iffy for years! All kidding aside, I love the HERO system because of it's flexibility with building almost anything you can come up with. Superhero who's special ability is he can cause Daisies to turn into razor sharp disks of pain and assault you? No problem:
Daisies of Doom: RKA 4d6 , OIF (daisies of opportunity) (-1/2), 12 Charges (bouquet of Daisies) (-1/4), Indirect (attack comes from obvious location, but can strike from any direction) (+1/2): Active Cost:60pts, Real Cost = 60 * (1+.5)/(1+.5+.25) ~= 51pts. Should do on avg. around 14 BODY and 49 STUN per strike, 12 times a day/adventure, and can be used with ANY found Daisies, though a bouquet is carried for convenience. This is all from memory, so feel free to correct.

And that was a pretty simple example. The power of HERO is also a problem in a lot of ways. There are MULTIPLE ways to do different things, and some of the choices even come with little warnings for the GM (for possible rules abuse...ask me about my "Rain of Acid" power sometime). Requires some GM supervision if you don't want the Amazing AwesomeMan who outshines everyone except when underwater in a copper mine, at which point you breath on him and he dies. Oh, and did we mention he's Berserk if he sees crime? Right. I thought I did.

Anyway...that rambled. Good luck!
