I came close to not coming to work today. I am trying not be depressed but I guess the ammount of effort I put in to getting the job and not getting it kind of took the winds out of my sails. I will get past it and this weekends festivities will help, but i am down right grumpy at the moment.

hail ming.

Muscle through it. There are rampaging hordes of unpleasant things we have to do to get through to the good stuff. This is one of them. Enjoy the weekend, and come back Monday with the information you learned from the last presentation tucked carefully away and ready for use the next time - and there will be a next time. Make sure that your boss knows, without being mean or crabby about it, that you are disappointed that you didn't get the job and that you wanted it badly. Be polite, but passionate. He/she will remember the next time an opportunity comes up.

Oh, and make sure you've got mad Powerpoint skills. For some reason, corporate types adore that silly program. It's like Quake for them or something.
