I came close to not coming to work today. I am trying not be depressed but I guess the ammount of effort I put in to getting the job and not getting it kind of took the winds out of my sails. I will get past it and this weekends festivities will help, but i am down right grumpy at the moment.

Try to remember that they recruited you to apply for the position in the first place. They must have faith in you, and probably do plan for you to advance, so don't take this too hard. There will be other opportunities. Let them know that you are disappointed, but don't let it affect you performance. That will show them what a strong candidate that you are.
