This morning at about 6:30 grandpa went out to get the paper and apparently had a bout of vertigo and fell down hitting his head. I got up and helped get him in the house. He was still clear and alert and cantankerous. After some talking me and grandma talked him into going to the doctor. I drove them out. While there the doctor reported grandpa has a heart dysrhythmia. We took him to the emergency room where I think I am on the verge of being on the first name basis with the admitting people out there, and admitted him in.

This is not how i wanted to start the day.

Grandpa may be the single most hateful man the world has ever seen. he has controlled the weather with his hate. Cantankerous is him at rest.

I'm just glad he's himself, even if that self is hateful. If that makes sense. If he started being sweet it might be time to worry.

He's being admitted to the hospital. Laura is on the way or already down there by now. I finally got in touch with her. I haven't talked to Mom, but the ER folks said that he is stable and is being admitted.
