This morning at about 6:30 grandpa went out to get the paper and apparently had a bout of vertigo and fell down hitting his head. I got up and helped get him in the house. He was still clear and alert and cantankerous. After some talking me and grandma talked him into going to the doctor. I drove them out. While there the doctor reported grandpa has a heart dysrhythmia. We took him to the emergency room where I think I am on the verge of being on the first name basis with the admitting people out there, and admitted him in.

This is not how i wanted to start the day.

He's being admitted to the hospital. Laura is on the way or already down there by now. I finally got in touch with her. I haven't talked to Mom, but the ER folks said that he is stable and is being admitted.
