I am always intrigued and facinated with one aspect of gaming. Playing a new charicter. There is something special about creating anew charicter, giving him a history, trying to shape a consistant personality and letting him exist in a world with other convincing charicters. It is not easy. I have tossed out dozens of notions before settling on a concept. Then once you have them complete you get to have the terrifying experience of first playing them. Is this charicter as cool as he was in my head or is he an annoyance? Will this be fun to play or will the built in difficulties make it impossible to enjoy myself? Will people like him?

Then you start playing and the questions go on the back burner and somewhere along the way this loose concept in your head becomes a living breathing individual. He has friends and enemies. He has goals and foibles like everyone else. If your lucky you have that moment. The perfect acting moment when you can think like your charicter without trying, when you are him for an instant. That is one of the big reasons I am still a gamer. That moment is such a rush as to put lesser drugs to shame for me.

Oh well. I am still soar and tired from this latest adventure so goodnight folks.

That's a problem...

...when you have another character that you play that you love and is very necessary to the game. I did that after this weekend - came up with a KILLER new concept for a new PC. Told it to Mr. Jay F. and he agreed that it was majorly killer, but I can't play him yet.

Sad. Congrats on the new guy in town!
