So I am going to add my voice to mix and say that Cloverfield was worth every bit of the hype. It was really really good. Easily the best giant monster movie ever made. It certainly sets a bar.
Then put aside your dislike of the hype and go see it on the big screen. Not that the movie will be bad on a TV, but it's one of those ones that you're going to wish you'd seen huge.
We walked out. :) So I wasn't that impressed, heh. I would like to take this opportunity to warn everyone - if you have any sort of susceptibility to motion sickness, don't go.
you may have the only valid reason I can think of someone might not enjoy the film. It does have some harsh moves in it in with a pov shot all the way through. If you are motion sensitive it might be to much.

Admittedly, we were sitting far too close, because the theater was full, and that probably contributed. But still, bleh.

Won't go see it again in the theater. Or if I do, I'll try to be late so I can skip the first 20 minutes.
Was happy to see the Hellboy 2 and the Ironman trailers. Oh, and the teaser trailer for Star Trek.
