Sometimes after I have been hanging out with my friends up here in knoxville and regaling them with tales of my mispent youth i begin to wonder if I might give the impression of being a thug. When I tell tales of old scars and jail stays i have to wonder if people think I am some sort of shifty charicter.

in other news

This is the last week i have to get up in the morning to go to work, starting next week i go back to evening shifts 3:45 to midnight. No more shall I wake before the dawn. No more will I struggle to stay awake at work. Truth be told, even when I was very young I had rings under my eyes because I was up all night all the time. I was born a night person. The nice thing about my shift change is actuall i get my saturday and sundays off from now on, so now i know what my schedule will be from week to week. Can a man be born belonging to the night? Are just some people nocturnal creatures despite evolutions design?

and now for something completely different

Ever watch a helicopter land? I love watching a chopper land not do to any particular love of aviation. It is watching the circles the woind makes in the grass and weeds as it lands. Making little dancing circles of green. It is like Van Goht is painting the land scape for a second.

Silly I know but there it is.

Congratulations on the shift change, and yes, I think that there are people who are inherently "night people". I feel pretty much of the same inclination, but life circumstances have pretty much prohibited the schedule with which I would be most comfortable. Even worse, my daughter is very much a morning person. Don't ask me how that happened, but every morning at 6:45, I'm up whether I want to be or not. At least she's cute, though.
