So 90% of fanfilms are charitably called rough. A few like see Batman Dead end are visually stunning if a bit silly.

This is a fan trailer of sorts for a Halo movie. I really like it. Not only is it well produced and visually impressive but it has this thread to it of it being a documentary where they talk to veterans of the war. They got some very convincing actors to play the old veterans which is what sells this. I would be interested to see a fake documentary about a future war or some other calamitous event. You should watch it.

I remember these. They were actually promos for Halo 3, and could be viewed from the Bungie site via a 3D run through of a miniature battle scene right before the game came out. I enjoyed each of these, as they leaned more towards a realistic view, and made me wonder what it would be like if there was any sort of galactic skirmish. It plays into the futuristic side, while still giving credit to veterans in wars of our own history. Very good videos.

All told there are about 40 minutes worth of video like this.
