A few points.
1)Still no word on grandpa.
2)Livejournal laid off all but 8 of it's employees with out severance. Speaking as someone with a lifetime account, that is troublesome.
3) Math is remarkably stressful when you view a problem through that lens.

Has your permanent account paid for itself yet (that is, has what you paid for it surpassed what paying yearly would for it yet)? The impermanence of internet sites is actually what keeps me from getting a permanent account.

Gee, that's a bummer about LiveJournal. Without any severance? They must be in pretty dire straits. I am sad for them. Like you, as a permanent account holder, I also wonder what this spells for the future of this site which I enjoy so much. Perhaps I should investigate how to download my content from over the years.
