It is called Dragon Hunter. It looks like a third D&D movie. Someday someone will make a D&D movie that does not suck. I mean besides Gamers2:Dorkness Rising.

It won't be a good movie, but strictly speaking, the odds are against it being the worst movie I've ever seen.

I should get you to watch Gamers 2: Dorkness rising. You may enjoy it as much as I did.

That actually looks potentially not terrible. Probably not very good, but not terrible.

I find it's not good to get too excited about low budget fantasy. Thins the blood, it does.

It is a low-budget movie, probably made by a group doing their first "real" movie ever. It probably has the same production values and level as the Gamers movie you were mentioning, [livejournal.com profile] technoir.

Yeah, the Gamers had hideously bad production values, but it wasn't really trying to be an immersive fantasy world, just a comedy about funny things that happen in an RPG. It looks from the preview like this movie did pretty well with lighting, color, photography, and basic film techniques for an indie film. It will succeed or fail based on the acting, direction, and whether they rely too much on cheap special effects.

Gamers 2 is actually better than Gamers. The jokes are better and the production is a little tighter.

I can usually tell how shitty a movie is going to be based off the soundtrack, and that is the most annoying song I think I've ever heard. Regardless of that sucktitude, I will watch the hell out of it.

I actually found D&D2 a pleasent romp. D&D1 made me want to scream in frustration. Though Thora Birch is always a little hottie.
