So a story i wrote this weekend for possible publication is presneting an oddity. The limit on the story was to be 750 words. Open office shows it at 748. Google docs shows it at 758. I went to an online site called funny enough, wordcounttool.com. The site also gives me a 748 count so I am inclined to believe it, but it is odd that google docs gives me a different count by that much.

Hmm, that's odd. Could it be counting certain paragraph breaks, hyphenated words, or so on?

I'd trust the 748; less likely it'd underestimate than overestimate. And it'd be too much a pain to count every word. O_o

But seriously, I'd say to go with the 748 inclination. 2 of the 3 attempts came back with 748, so you're probably safe with that.
