To be filed in the category somewhere between viral marketing and WTF. If Watchmen is not the comic book equivalent of the second coming, then there may be comic geek riots in the streets.

Jokes aside I am cautious on liking this. That comic is so iconic and so game changing in the medium, I have a hard time believing the movie will live up to it. Beyond that the Watchmen was really done to make use of the comic medium in a uniquely comic book way and I am not sure if it will translate well. All of that said I will see it. If it is good I will see it multiple times.

The only thing I've heard that I'm upset about is that they're taking out the pirate thing, but appariently it's going to be on the DVD.
