just got word from my mom. My cousin Michael and his wife Laurel were in a tornado today. It hit their house and several other in their Murfreesboro neighborhood. They apparently rode it out in a bath tub. The house sustained some damage. They were lucky and no one was hurt, but there were some people killed according to the news.

I know I still have some friends in that area so I hope everyone is alright. Meanwhile we are expected to have some storms later tonight. Everyone stay safe.

Wow....that's scary!! We don't get tornadoes in Malaysia but I've seen documentaries and pictures of what damage they can do.

I hope your friends are safe.

So do I. I have had a few encounters with them over the years. When I was a small child one blew out the windows of the house while mom hudled with me in the basement. That was when I was young enough that I dont remember myself. There was couple of them that have hit towns I was in as i grew up. My early teens I saw one that was only existent for seconds but was still enough to make wreck my bike as I was trying to get home. You get used to them growing up in certain places, Tennessee being one of those places.

It is kind of like having a giant or dragon walk through your town. Some things or people get smashed and others are spared. I have seen one giant of a tree that was just blown over the next day after such a storm. I believe the term I would use is humbling.
