I watched last nights Dollhouse. It was the first one I had seen that really seemed to approach the potential of the show. Much much better than most of the season. It is a shame that the show will likely be canceled before it can become the interesting show it could be.

Sarah Conner Chronicles was also very good. Lots of plot development. Very interesting. Also a shame if this one got canceled.

SPOILER SPECULATION

Next season (unlikely to happen, but maybe:)

John Connor doesn't live the intervening years before becoming the leader of the resistance. He just started becoming it as of his jump to the future at the end of last episode. He's the boy-king of the future, as it were.

(I'm already pretty solid on the series being a divergent timeline from the movies, but hey, we'll see.)

Yeh my read was his father became the leader instead of him, hence the Cameron walking around with him. The show is playing with the alternate time line thing quite a bit, which pleases me.

The extent of John in the future probably really comes down to how much budget they wind up having. They already teased Future!John being younger than expected in a Derek flashback. And they spent most of this season showing that they could have Sarah plots independent of John plots; it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to show both what John's doing in the future and how Sarah's preparing things in the past.

However, I'm not sure they're ready to go the way of the movies and declare Judgment Day is inevitable. I expect it's more likely that John in the future will be used to get him specific information about SkyNet and its plans, then take that back to the present. Throughout this season, it's seemed like the plan is to replace SkyNet with John Henry before Judgment Day... though they could very easily defy expectations and send him in to replace Future!SkyNet.

I wanted Dollhouse to be a great show, but the buildup they've had could never survive FOX's hatchet rich environment. It looks like it may have been on the turning point to getting better, but we'll never know now, will we?

I don't think that was Cameron with Kyle. I think it was Alison Young (from the Alison from Palmdale episode.

Personally, I think that John and Weaver will return to the present day (with John Henry) at some point. After all, it's The Sarah Conner Chronicles. Her storyline ought to be the primary one, but hers is wrapped up in John's. So they need to get back together sometime (probably soon).

Minor continuity point that's bugging me. Cameron's eyes aren't red. This has been pointed out to the viewers on several occasions.

As for Dollhouse, I'm really enjoying it. And to the best of my knowledge, they haven't canceled it yet. It's still got several more episodes left to go. We'll see how it does not following T:TSCC, which probably appeals to a different demographic.

They have said they will not be showing the 13th episode of the season. This is usually taken as a sign. Shame too as that ep was supposed to have Felicia Day and Alan Tudyk in it.
