The world is getting ready for something spectacular in 2012. According to researchers, the Federation of the Universe representing all the 88 star constellations will officially visit earth in 2012 and reveal themselves. It will bring an end to all UFO cover-ups in various countries.

I certainly hope it is fake. I cant imagine how human culture would react to the proof and visit of aliens, but I bet it would be poor.

Well, lessee:

General populace: mostly awe, fear, and distrust with no collective action taken except wild gossip, random attempts at manipulation and conspiracy theories

Religious fanatics: complete disbelief, outrage, violence, bigotry and disassociation

Intelligent and openminded populace: hands extended in friendship and ready to learn all they can before the "visitors" realize how f***ed up the other two factions of Earth citizens are and how they will react to them.

I am intelligent and open minded and I would not trust that visitors from another world were going to be on the side of angels. No one expends large ammounts of resources for no gain other than goodwill. Sorry I would not buy that.

Besides, the aliens could be looking for innocent, mutual gains like sharing culture and ideas and opening up a new trade area to stimulate their economies. Or they could be plotting to eat our brains, but really, why be so pessimistic? :)
