Oh it's easy to get that sort of budget... you have to charge their rates.
On the ugly truths side, most larps I've played is that they are running on a shoestring budget or worse, in a rolling deficit. Couple that with the occasional financial irresponsbility and you have some real limitations.
On the plus side, many of the larps (often the same ones) are intense labors of love. Creators invest their blood, sweat and tears to create enjoyment for their friends and peers all for a a little thanks and the reward of storytelling.
