Congrats on doing healthy stuff!

Hoshiadam can probably suggest a bunch of low-calorie snacks that he uses. Bananas are good and filling, he eats a lot of those when he's on his diet. There are a bunch of good low-calorie vegetables, too, which would give you a lot of vitamins and fiber so that the calories you're getting aren't empty.

Bananas are prety good, a medium sized one is about 100 calories. Also recommend mott's natural applesauce - they don't add any extra sugar, so it is only 50 calories per cup instead of 100 for most applesauce. Grapes have a pretty decent number in a 100 calorie serving as well, iirc. Lettuce is always a good choice if you are wanting to eat something filling. A HEAD of lettuce (5", 163 grams) is only 21 calories. You can almost fudge any calories from lettuce if you wanted. Its also good at the begining while you are transitioning to eating less, as you can still fill up on it. While the crazy lettuce wrap burgers/chicken might seem wierd, you are cutting out a significant number of calories by not eating a sandwich bun (usually around 200).

http://www.thecaloriecounter.com/ is a good resource also.

Since you are shooting for ~2500 calories per day for now, Id recommend trying to get at least 300 calories of fruits and vegetables. Yogurt might count a little, but I found that the fruit and veggies were actually pretty good about being a snack. They seemed to be a good pick-me-up on top of more staple foods.
