We gotta get you some other snackin' veggies than those carrots, my man. Try the endame, trust me. Try broccoli and caulifower, somethin - you're going to burn out on those orange babies.

Let's see... the mac and cheese was Kraft? Here's a home made recipe.

2 T flour
2 T butter
2 cups milk (nonfat will work fine)
16 oz. cheeze (cheddar, sure. But anything goes. Classic French? Try gruyere. Pepper jack? Mozzerella? Whatever floats your boat. Be creative.)
Salt and pepper to taste (add a smidge of worchestire sauce and dry mustard if you're using cheddar. And some country ham, skip the salt. Or some herbs if you're doing mozzerella. Or anything else that looks good.)
Pasta
Fresh bread crumbs

Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the flour and stir rapidly until the roux (the butter/flour mix) foams and looks a little less white. Add milk. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer. Stire frequently and cook 20 minutes, until the sauce is thick and doesn't taste "pasty".

Add grated cheese and spices. Stir.

Pour over cooked pasta into a baking dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Broil until the breadcrumbs are toasted.

This can be a whole meal, with a little creativity. And a lunch to boot. Mind your portion sizes. A little goes a long way.

on the carrots thing they are easily portable. They can fit in a small thing in my pocket. When I walk for four hours at work this is helpful. Broccoly is less so. Now when I am sitting at home broccoli may be an an option. Also i have grown to like raw carrots. Especcially when they are still moist.

The macaroni is is part of a recipe my grandmother came up with. I am tgrying to aproximate what she made. At least wo and usually 3 or 40 days a week I am eating what they prepared for dinner. She made a caserole with sliced ham and macaroni and cheese. The corn is common as are rolls and mashed potatoes They also serve a vegie or two either spinach or umm I dont remember the name but it comes in stalks is cooke up with some butter.

No bad cooks really. My grandparents do love to cook and as I am in the basement I will take advantage of it from time to time. Now i am thinking of making myself some chilli for my crock pot. I like having my food simple when I get home and chilli in the crockpot doesnt get any easier.

Sorry, honey, it doesn't work that way. ;~) You are doing really well. Hang in there. It will be worth it in the end. And you will remember how hard it was to get it off, so hopefully keep an eye on it to keep from putting it back on. That's my theory, anyway. I'm down 14 pounds. ;~)

Oh, yes, try some edamame! Good snack stuff and you won't turn orange. Can you have fruit?

And don't be silly, darlin'. If you lost all that weight at once none of your clothes would fit and you'd get sick and then put it all right back on the next week. Slow is the way to do it!

WEll I believe it was a sort of mystical hey you have your weightloss thing, but I get the point.

I will however try the edamame when I get a chance.
