So the classic problem of when I am post workout I am ravenous. I need to just ignore that. I would cook some egg's or something but I rarely have time in the morning for workout and cook breakfast. Maybe make the eggs and such the night before and nuke them in the morning. It's a thought. Still I stayed well below calorie goal.

as to exercise. One mile on the treadmill in the morning at a moderate pace(a little over 20 minutes). This evening was 10 push ups, 10 sit ups, and 10 leg lifts. I think that is what the exercise is called where you lay flat down and lift your legs an inch or two off the ground and split them then bring them back together and lower them again. Anyways the pushups in particular made me sad. There was time in my life where I could have done 40 before feeling it, 60 if I was pissed off enough. Being able to only do 10 really is disheartening. Oh well I guess it just gives me something to work on. Now to bed.

I still can't do a real push up, getting all the way down to the ground and back up. But the other day, for the first time, I did manage to get my upper arms parallel to the floor and still make it back up! :)

So anyway, 10 is pretty good in my book.

I know that nighthob swears by her muffinator. Maybe that would help?

Hard boiled eggs?

I've slipped on my push ups too.

I have two options for your hunger issue after working out:

1) Drink lots of water to fill your stomach.

2) Take a tortilla, spread a mix of peanut butter and honey on it, roll it up and enjoy. It's high in protein and even though I hate honey-peanut butter, I LOVED the taste of it. The protein in it will really help curb your appetite and it's very helpful to your body after a workout. :)

I'm very proud of you for sticking with this even though you've felt at times like it wasn't going how you wanted. It's really a huge accomplishment and you should be very proud. :)

NOt sure if it's for you, but my mom always made us 'egg shakes' and I've started drinking them again for the protein. Glass of milk, 1 egg (get rid of the yolk if you want, it's just cholesterol), either sugar and vanilla or chocolate quick. The quick is probably not as good for calorie watching though. PUt it in a blender or wisk it like you mean it. It's just a frothy milk drink - you can't taste the egg at all. I like to just put in 2 egg whites.

I usually get a smoothie that's high in protein right after working out. You could also try yogurt if you like yogurt. Usually that's what your body is craving -- quick carbs and protein... so a fruit & yogurt smoothie is a really good combo.
