Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] justinjacobson for sharing this tidbit.

So I am not planning on voting for McCain any way. I think he is an okay sort and I don't hate the man but I just disagree with him politically. That said I find the recent post on http://johnmccain.com to be another little nail in the coffin of the chances I would vote for him.

"It may be typical of the pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons crowd to disparage a fellow countryman's memory of war from the comfort of mom's basement, but most Americans have the humility and gratitude to respect and learn from the memories of men who suffered on behalf of others. John McCain has often said he witnessed a thousand acts of bravery while he was imprisoned, and though not every one has been submitted into the public record, they are remembered by the men who were there (one such only recently reported by Karl Rove though it escaped mention in any of Senator McCain's books). But as Swindle said, this is a "desperate group of people trying to make something out of nothing."

How does playing D&D become a pejorative? Do all of my conservative friends who play D&D now become Obama supporters?

Sigh.

night for real this time.

Apparently John McCain doesn't believe that nerds are voters. Either that or there is a right wing conspiracy against gaming as it is the devil's game!!

Honestly I am not sure he actually what gets put on his blog in his name. I may be wrong here but I don't think he personally is much of a blogger. I am also pretty sure I would have to explain what D&D was to him. It is just not in his world.

I agree with Jay though. This Goldfarb character is a putz.
