I'm never going to live that down, am I? Must check that the rest of the group has been following the conversation before saying something so easily misinterpretable...
For the record, I was referring to a different D&D game, in which our bard, by virtue of a natural 20 and high Charisma, managed to alter the society of an entire elven tribe, by introducing orgies as a means of nature worship. (It was the silliest game ever, don't ask.) So, some of our party members gasped in shock and horror and other joined in enthusiastically (I play a 3-month-old wyrmling brass dragon who was rather confused by it all), and many amusing hijinks ensued. The one female character who took part in the festivities had to make a secret roll, and didn't know the result until last week, when certain things that normally happen didn't happen this month. So now she has an elf baby on the way. :)
The subject came up yesterday because we were discussing some people's view of D&D as immoral. While most of the behavior in the orgy game (as I like to call it) would reinforce that idea, the fact that the character's behavior had long-reaching consequences hinted to the contrary in my mind. Of course, the male characters had no consequences, because we're hundreds of miles away by now. If they have illegitemate children back in the elf village, they'll probably never know. Oh well.
