Ice water cuts my hunger pangs. Filling up on it helps head of cravings.

There is a chocolate that I could not find the calorie count on but it was awful smal so i find it hard to believe it has more than 50 calories.

again cut for those not interested

thanks doll. You know I considered the fact I would loose much more weight as a vegetarian. But sadly I do love meat.

Not necessarily. A lot of new vegetarians fill up on bread and cheese and gain more weight than ever. And don't try to make more than one change at a time. But if you like raw vegetables they can make awfully good snacks, especially baby carrots. Mmmm baby carrots! Or cucumbers, peeled, sliced, and lightly salted.

raw carrots may be a plan. I need snacks I can take with me to work. Do they keep at room temperature?

Carrots and celery do alright at room temperature. Even the cucumber would be do-able for no more hours than you work.

Not for a long time, but for a day or so they'll be fine. I also find that mixed greens or spinach are more appetizing in a salad than iceberg lettuce.

I LOVE spinach in salad; in fact, I eat twice as many salads now that I discovered that because the truth is that I don't really like iceburg lettuce much.

If you aren't a big raw veggie fan, you can get fat free ranch dressing in small snack packs for dipping to make the veggies more palatable. They store at room temperature. Yum!
