Try roasting the asparagus if you'd like - you need a little oil, but not a lot, and it's very fast and less risky.

Also, my wife and I tried some Endame (green soybeans) from the organic section of Publix. They're Japanese bar food, so I thought you might try them instead of carrots. They are, indeed, very yummy - the baby daughter kept snacking on them. $2.79 a bag.

I may look into it. Though I have developed a taste for the carrots. I am a big fan of jerky but i cant afford it alot. It is high protein and low in fat for the most part and calories are not rediculous as well. The sodium is in the not great catagoy but still not to bad. I am always looking for new snacks though. My usual work lunch box is alot of carrots, 3 things of yogurt, and a lean cuisine meal. Maybe sams has deals on lean cuisine. oh well enough food rambling.

I second the roasted asparagus - I like it fresh with a little olive oil, pepper, and salt, in the oven at 500 for 5-8 minutes. It's really good.
